Like any successful general, successful businesses go into battle having a very clear and coherent strategy that can be articulated to the troops for them to implement. In the army it’s simple to maintain a strategy, through the chain of command and austere measures if it is not adhered to. The Dickensian era is over so businesses have to find another means of making sure that everybody marches to the same tune.
