Resource Management
The Timesheet functionality within SymVolli allows you to manage your resources and costs at any stage within your process. Timesheet items can be entered against company, contact, Opportunity, or user records. Below are examples of the benefits that can be achieved using the Timesheet in two stages of the sales process.
Pre-Sales SymVolli allows you to view items that are being quoted to a client as unscheduled items in the Timesheet so that you can use them to plan the use of your available resources and take the appropriate action to ensure that you meet your future obligations.
The sales person can enter items in the timesheet against a specific opportunity so that the cost of sale can easily be established.
Post-Sales Using SymVolli, it is possible to measure the profitability of a project using the timesheet to compare what was proposed to what actually took place. This will help in trying to maintain project profitability when preparing future proposals of a similar nature.
The Timesheet can also be used to enter items that will be invoiced to the client. An example of where this could be used is in the service environment where the client might have a contract with the supplier, but has called in for a specific issue. The work is entered as a timesheet item, which is automatically assigned back to the customer request and can appear on the invoice automatically.
