Company and contact data
SymVolli’s organisation structure allows you to build a tree of any combination of companies and contacts so that you have an overview from company group, through divisions and departments down to personnel. You can record data about companies and contacts that will help you in classifying them for future events, e.g. job function, financial performance, market intelligence, etc. Within each of the opportunities you can assign different contacts to the different roles within the decision making team and any other information such as sign-off limit, preference, etc. SymVolli allows you to builds a picture as if you were developing an account plan without the rigidity of an account plan.
Managing the opportunity
SymVolli’s qualification profile will help the sales person manage the opportunity through the sales process. All that is required for the sales person to do is choose at which stage he is within each of the sales criteria and the system will do the rest. Symvolli will show the likelihood of winning the business at any one time. You will also be able to monitor how progress has been achieved for each opportunity and where actions is needed before it becomes an issue. This is all because SymVolli takes a snapshot of what is happening within the sales process every time the sales person updates the system. You can view which opportunities have higher probability to have a successful outcome and you can review companies and opportunities to see if there are any other possibilities.
You can manage what is being proposed to the prospect via SymVolli’s Quotation functionality. For each opportunity you can break this down into phases, e.g. pilot and rollout of a project, and monitor order, revenue, margins, and units. Like the qualification profile, Symvolli maintains an audit that helps you monitor product and service profitability, pricing, and delivery.
You can manage all email communications, tasks and appointments related to companies, contacts and opportunities via SymVolli that accesses Microsoft Exchange Server directly. SymVolli will use the Outlook forms, which every sales person is familiar with, if you are accessing emails, tasks, and appointments on a machine that has Microsoft Outlook installed. All emails, tasks, and appointments can very simply saved against any company, contact, or opportunity.
Managing critical and repetitive tasks
Using SymVolli’s Rules and Events module it is possible for you to set up simple rules to deal with the monitoring of critical deadlines that are set in SymVolli. Each sales person can receive notice that an order date is fast approaching so that they can follow up and not miss a sales opportunity. The same can happen once a quotation has been sent to the client. The sales person can be informed in advance that it should be followed up. In both cases an escalation procedure can also be established so that management can be informed if no action is taken by the sales person. A message can be sent to the sales manager that the margin is below minimum level on any opportunity and that he needs to review it. These are just some examples of how rules and events can be deployed.
An overview of any opportunity
You can view a summary or detailed report of any opportunity detail covering who are the key players, their roles, the progress to date, what is being proposed, any notes with respect to the opportunity.
